Why Christmas Nativities Are Important For Children

Posted by admin - October 27th, 2020

nativity-play-1Christmas is coming soon, and children and parents all around the UK already preparing for this year’s school nativity play.

Pretty much everyone knows the nativity story, this is always a great opportunity for the little ones and the adults to celebrate the story of Christmas.

And what better way could there be to celebrate Christmas than with a play! A nativity play is one of the best ways to teach the kids the biblical story.

A play educates and teaches about culture and spirituality, all in a fun and highly enjoyable way! Some writers at Out Of The Ark have been writing nativities for more than three decades. “It is always something special to  see that everyone’s working total together. This isn’t just supporting that the kids are building friendships and community. Participating in the play can help their confidence, and, after all it’s just a whole lot of fun that everyone’s looking forward to the entire year! Most children are remembering the songs for a long time even after the show is over and done with.”

If you have always considered a Christmas nativity for your Sunday church group or school, but for some reason have shied back because you thought it may involve too much work, well, don’t fret as it’s much easier than you may think!

At Out Of The Ark can find a plethora of nativity scripts, from simple and easy for smaller groups to large plays with many singers and actors. Check them out this Christmas and bring a whole lot of joy to the little ones and adults alike with a nativity play!

How Do Smoke Detectors Work?

Posted by admin - July 27th, 2019

Although smoke detectors are rather simple devices, they work quite reliably in the indoors. But what about outdoor smoke and fire detection? For fire detection outdoors you may want to look into fire detection cameras.

Fire detection cameras are video cameras with built in fire detection which makes them currently the best outdoor smoke detector. Compared to ordinary smoke detectors, fire cameras are the only reliable means for outdoor fire detection but they come with many more advantages which makes them an attractive option not only for commercial and industrial fire detection but increasingly more so also for private home owners.

For more tips on fire safety for indoors and outdoors, you can check out https://www.firesafe.org.uk/ and http://www.hse.gov.uk/toolbox/fire.htm

If You Want To See The UK – A Tip

Posted by admin - September 19th, 2016

Horse-Racing-TravelThe United Kingdom sure has a lot to offer if you like to travel a lot like my family does.

But if you’re like me and many others, you’re not really interested in all those overrun tourist attractions.

For me, travel means that I want to get close up and personal with the land and the people wherever we travel to.

Since sports is big in our family and we are also big into horses and horse racing, we figured out a good plan about how to go on our travels.

What we do, we plan our travel routes so we can visit all the great horse race tracks that are almost anywhere in the UK! This is a fantastic way to get to know the land and the people while we have a lot of fun and excitement at all those various tracks!

Since there are 59 race tracks in the UK today you won’t have a problem getting around and can plan wonderful travel routes.

What’s more, from our experience traveling the United Kingdom you should also not have a problem to find wineries and other cool places close-by. Especially around the cost such as in Devon you can find plenty of bars, pubs and wineries that offer local foods and drinks. Highly recommended.

Don’t waste a nice vacation visiting “touristy places” that anyone else goes to!

Surprise Entertainment: A Great Idea for Your Wedding Reception!

Posted by admin - January 13th, 2015

Secret SingersLet’s be honest, today you need to go out of your way if you want to make an impression on your party guests. Whether you have a pool party planned or a lavish wedding reception doesn’t really make a difference here.

If you happen to live in the United Kingdom but increasingly also in other places, it’s likely you will come across the term surprise entertainment.

There is no major party in London and for sure not the wedding couple that wants to do something truly special for a reception without surprise entertainment such as flash mobs or disguised surprise singers.

Amongst the most popular surprise entertainers in London are the secret singers, also known as the singing waiters. What makes them different compared to other entertainers and wedding or party singers is the fact they’re coming from renowned British theatres which means they’re true professionals.

The singing waiters can dance and sing not only the latest hits but they can also perform amazing classical pieces or do a cool jazz performance. Truth be told, sometimes an average or a poor musical performance just doesn’t cut it; think about “fancy” corporate events or similar occasions. And this is exactly why you should look at the singing waiters rather than just hiring a DJ.
